A tapping noise is coming from inside your fridge

The tapping came from inside the fridge, the veggie drawer by the sound of it.

“What do you want?” Clarence asked as he heaved open the stainless-steel door and pulled out the plastic drawer.

“We’d like to file a complaint,” said the zucchini.

“A complaint?” asked Clarence.

“Yes,” the zucchini replied. “You are keeping the temperature too low and it’s causing freezer burn in my skin. I’m covered in mushy spots!”

“Yeah,” chimed the tomato. “It’s unbearable! My kind is not even supposed to be stored in the fridge.”

“I quite like the cold,” said the lemon. “It’s so refreshing after all those days I spent in the hot sun.”

“No one asked you,” glowered the tomato, quite red in the face.

“All of you shut up!” yelled Clarence. “I’m making a pasta primavera for dinner tonight and getting rid of the lot of you!”

Clarence slammed the drawer shut.

“Spoiled vegetables,” he grumbled.
